Breast augmentation is performed to add volume to the breasts and improve a woman’s breast shape and profile. Many women feel that larger breasts help balance their body’s overall proportions, giving their figure better symmetry and helping them feel more feminine and confident.
Women choose breast augmentation for many different reasons; some of these include:
- Breasts have lost volume as a result of age, pregnancy, or weight loss
- Breasts have always been small and a source of insecurity
- Breasts are asymmetrical

People often consider chin implants to address a “weak” or receding chin that blends into your neck and may make other facial features look out of proportion. If you are concerned about the appearance of your chin and wish you had a stronger jawline, chin augmentation may be right for you.
Chin implant surgery is relatively quick procedure and can be performed with local anesthesia and sedation. During your surgery, Dr. an incision will be made in the underside of your chin or inside your mouth where the gum meets the lip. The incision will be completely hidden or difficult to distinguish in either place. You will be given detailed instructions to follow during your chin augmentation recovery. Most people experience some swelling and bruising in the first few days and return to work 3 to 5 days after their chin implant procedure.
Flabby upper arms can be a concern even for women and men who have good muscle tone but who still have loose skin or a predisposition to accumulate fat in this area. If you’re so self-conscious about the appearance of your upper arms that you wear sleeves even during the summer, you may be an ideal arm lift candidate. Dramatic weight loss is one of the most common reasons for women and men to seek arm lift surgery and other body contouring procedures that reduce excess skin. That’s because skin that’s stretched and becomes lax won’t “shrink to fit” the body’s new contours after significant weight loss.
Rhinoplasty is surgery that changes the shape of the nose. The motivation for rhinoplasty may be to change the appearance of the nose, improve breathing or both. The upper portion of the structure of the nose is bone, and the lower portion is cartilage. Rhinoplasty can change bone, cartilage, skin or all three. Talk with your surgeon about whether rhinoplasty is appropriate for you and what it can achieve.
When planning rhinoplasty, your surgeon will consider your other facial features, the skin on your nose and what you would like to change. If you're a candidate for surgery, your surgeon will develop a customized plan for you. Sometimes part or all of a rhinoplasty is covered by insurance.
Blepharoplasty (Eyelid Surgery)
Blepharoplasty is a kind of surgery performed on the eyelids. It’s done to remove excess skin from the upper eyelids and reduce bagginess from the lower eyelids. It’s also called an eye lift.
This surgery is usually done for cosmetic reasons. It's also an effective way to improve sight in older people whose sagging upper eyelids get in the way of their vision. An eye lift won’t get rid of dark circles under the eyes, crow's feet, or other facial wrinkles. It’s often done along with other procedures such as laser resurfacing, filler injections, or forehead lifts.
